The Master System was sold until about two years ago because Sega must have signed some bad contract that gave the guys permission to manufacture Master Systems basically indefinitely.Since there are a lot of poor people in Brazil, the Master System became a decent toy option because of its low price and well-known mascots such as Alex Kidd and Sonic.
