For example, he will complain about any rendering pipeline step that takes long. It's "unoptimized" simply because it takes long. Number big=bad. That's his whole thinking. A rendering step can be "long" for any number of reasons, what really matters is how long the final frame costs and how good it looks. He praises PS4 tier graphics as "optimized" because they run on old hardware and ignores the fact that better features are more expensive.
