Millennial gamers are incapable of appreciating "bad" games without pretending they are literally the worst things they've ever laid eyes on. You see this all the time, if a game isn't accepted by the common consensus as good then that means it's terrible reprehensible garbage, which deserves to be endlessly mocked. Forget that the developers probably put untold amounts of hours into making it, ignore simple realities of the time like adapting to new hardware and dealing with rushed release cycles. No, none of that matters. Clearly these games I've personally never heard of are awful and even if I have nothing to actually base this on, I'll keep calling it lame, trash, ass and so on because it makes people laugh. And as we all know, if something provides comedic value, that means it's a net good to the world, even if it diminishes the total experience of art into a big joke. We must always be ironic, tongue-in-cheek, hyper critical, even when it stops making sense.Perhaps the most shocking revelation is that this mindset still exists today, when people more than ever shout about respecting art and attempting to be sincere in their beliefs. Lo and behold, that's all for nothing, because whenever a "bad" game appears in front of them they turn into feral animals who must tear down hard work and passion, like some kind of sadistic peanut gallery. Then they cry about how everyone is afraid to put themselves out there, or how good art isn't being made anymore. What gives you the right to determine art's quality anyways? It's all content to consume to you, nothing more.
