The main character bring attractive doesn't really add or remove from the overall experience, but having things like collectable outfits and photomode did. The core elements of gameplay, story, and music are all really solid. The story is far above average for games now, especially triple A games. It uses Eve as a world building tool to showcase everything that's happened bia her curiosity. The soundtrack is excellent, but I'm willing to admit lyric based BGMs are not for everyone, so this is subjective. The gameplay itself is not like "nier" at all. Nier is closer to a combo based hack n slash. Stellar Blade is like if Dark Souls had longer weapon combos. The game is focused heavily on using the correct counters to what your opponent does and slowly unlocks the systems as you play. The depth isn't great on what you can do. There's only 1 weapon, but the hardest fights in the game and pretty much every boss uses it to the fullest extent. Overall the game is a solid 8, 8.5 if you have the DLC boss as well. I'm SB2 if they add more combat depth they'll come out with a masterpiece. >side notes If you like collect-a-thons and world exploration the game is really good. The soda collections and fun to traverse maps kept me in its grips longer than I wanted.

I keep getting poked by the enemies after the prologue with their instant tail attacks and losing interest. Wish I were more interested in Eve's game. Saluting girl's the cutest.

>>730806963It was very good, excellent performance, good graphics, good music, combat was fun, lots of different enemies, lots of costumes to collect, fun and challenging bosses, plot and characters were just ok.The bad parts were too much reuse of enviroments, desert, sewers, ruins, for a game with heavy emphasis on animations it was kinda dissapointing thats theres only 1 stealth takedown animation or a generic retaliation animation on regular enemies, ranged weapons feel tacked on and do shit dmg, it gets kinda repetitive at the end because you get every skill in the game from the midgame, the game could have used another weapon or something for more varietyalso you know a game is good when it has its own schizo dedicated spammer
The first area is great, but the rest of the game is pretty bad. Only a couple decent areas afterward
the wastelands became my second homebut the great desert was just annoying to traverse around all the copy/pasted city ruins, the map wasn't well interconnected between these areas
