It has to be a negligible change that doesn't affect the game seriously like the MML2 PSP hack since those are official changes from the original developers. They're also the same way with alternate versions like Spyro Season of Fire or Ice (I forgot which one) since the Japanese version is a definitive version but it changes so much it would be its own version like Japanese Ecco the Dolphin or Japanese Metroid Fusion.
