>>730822667I think the fact that you can fly around a screen a lot more liberally in AACC leads to much more satisfying hits and feeling when you finally do land a hit.16:9 and HD sprites taking up more space and the fact that air backdashes being nerfed, neutral superjump moving forward, and a host of other effects just lead to MBTL not feeling nearly as satisfying to play.That and of course, uniform damage and 99% usage of meter for oki because hard knockdown earned only through supers is so damn entrenched in modern fighters.Also the fact that optimal combos are SUPER fucking easy in MBTL and the harder ones you COULD do only net you like 40 more damage.

>>730822667Not really j.BCBC airthrow is common but there's a lot of exceptions in all tiers, I haven't counted or anything but I'd guess like 70% do something completely different pretty regularly even if they do BCBC airthrow off some hits that can't go into anything better, and they have very different oki situations after airthrow since you can't cancel the recovery and the distance and frame data on the knockdown varies massively. Just for comparison, of the 3 characters I can kind of play, one does j.BCBC airthrow a lot but also has shorter grounded routes for oki and a much harder completely different route for optimals, one is literally incapable of it, and one does loops off every hit

I'm far from casual in regards to applicable mentality, I like learning fighters and learning the things I do wrong and applying it to the next match, thats adaptability. However the sweat that comes from this community makes it impossible to learn, It's like everyone online has daddy issues they're trying to coverup for by attacking someone trying to learn the game. Learning training mode combos can only take you so far in learning the actual game, combos weren't the problem. I cant learn the game if I'm being pitted against smurfs 10-20 times in a row who are clear competitive or top players (one of which i learned was some top 10 ranked tranny) when I don't understand the games basic concepts of neutral/footsies yet.I gave this game a straight up couple months but its nothing but sweats with daddy issues and something to prove like they're shouting at the world through their gameplay. What's funny is I didn't have this issue with AACC and act cadenza. At least the music is great as usual with this series.
