What video game moments made you cry, or at the very least made you emotional?

I never cry, crying is for faggots but webm related and MGS3 ending are the only ones that forced me to resist crying
>>
>>730827990
wasn't the "I love you" in this scene just localization fanfiction?

Kingdom Hearts 1 was my first Playstation 2 game and I also played Chain of Memories on my Gameboy Advance. This scene was as far as I knew the end of the series and considering I never played any games after this, it might as well be. It felt like a piece of my childhood was over.
>>
>>730828542
In Japanese she said "Thank you"
The "I love you" was in English. Not sure about other localizations.
>>
>>730827990
I didn't cry, but I choked up a little in MGS4 when Otacon says "Snake...had a hard life." to Sunny when we're all supposed to think he's in the Cemetery killing himself.
>>
>>730828945
If Kingdoms Hearts ended here I would've been satisfied
>>
>>730828542
A bit, but the nuance was going to be lost in translation. If she just said "thank you" in english, people would have thought it fairly cold from a lover. Perhaps if they extended the scene, and changed he body language with a very empathetic "thank you [dramatic pause] for everything", it might have been closer to what it meant in jappo, but since that's unreasonable, what they did is fine.
Compared to the butchery that happens all the time in localization, this might as well be perfectly accurate.

God dont do this to me, I still haven't recovered. Sometimes a man go through hell and fight through a sea of cosmic horrors just to give the girl he loved a burial she deserved.

When I finished mgs3 or halo, I knew then and there that I played a masterpiece. Then I created my own masterpiece. When my wife give birth to our first born child. I'll never forget that moment for the rest of my life. I then said, as I held our baby in my arms, that, "We must be better men"

Off the top of my head the only games I played that ever made me sad were:
Crisis Core - Ending when Zack dies
RDR1 - Ending when John dies
FF7 - Aerith Death
FF7 Remake - The bit at the plate falling where Aerith goes to save Marlene in the bar and she's all sad and whatnot
FF7 Rebirth - The bit with the trials where you see the flash back to Aerith as a kid when he mom was dying and nobody would help her
MGS3 - The ending sequence in general
MGS4 - The ending sequence in general
Legend of Dragoon - When Lavitz got killed
Castlevania Lords of Shadows 1 - The ending bit where Gabriel finds out he killed his wife and the whole journey was pointless as his wife is dead and he cant save her and he cant go on to the after life to be with her either
The Witcher 3 - The bit where you find Ciri and Geralt thinks she's dead

Only a couple games. Most recent is Expedition 33. Gustave's funeral (weirdly not his death), when they go back to Lumiere and Emma and his apprentices are waiting to see him back, and then Verso's ending, especially "I will miss you guys"

Apart from what's already been mentioned, the Final Fantasy VIII ending. Specifically the part where Laguna gives the ring to Raine then the transition to her grave ;-;
