predictions to look back at in hindsight later:>speed boosts from drifting are still good so everyone shifts to Lv2-3 Quick Charge + the two boost tuners + the two slipstream gadgets (slipstream can probably be switched out for something less bland)>more speed/power cars>sandbagging becomes slightly stronger but still inconsistent since you can't hold items forever and you'll have fewer chances to get a good item>top 100 will be mostly the same people, likely the type who'd learn to dodge King Boom Boo with boost wisps or snap drifting>shitters gonna shit hard about items on an unprecedented scale except for sandbagging autists timing their bag every time and people who like playing a 2 minute racing minigame instead of pulling a lever for their slot machine

I confess. I dread the lack of tech drift because driftmaxxing hit me like fent. I shoehorn it in all my builds including time trials. If you've ever checked my builds in festival lobbies I ALWAYS run that shit no matter what. Driving feels so stiff without it and snap drifting not as pronounced.Been trying to grind with a 1-slot gadget only build I made up but it's been rape.
