Playin this right now its actually pretty fun. I think i was released in the wrong time and got too much hate for being a "generic cover based shooter" This shits hard, the highway level almost filtered me. The combat is actually pretty face paced and chaotic cause the AI bum rushes you when your out of ammo or flanks you when you stay too stationary.
It's pure dogshit and we only played it because better coop games like Gears 2 and Army of Two never came to PC.
No, K&L2 is absolutely dogshit. That's part of the appeal. That's the point. If you try to approach it conventionally then it absolutely is just a mediocre and generic cover based shooter that ends with an abrupt wet fart

Okay well i never played it when it came out and so far im feeling refreshed. Its just a nice "shoot the dudes in a hallway" kinda game with a super edgelord nonsense story. Running around between cover shotgunning gangbangers while throwing expolosive containers around is actually pretty fun compared to modern slog fests. Its clearly meant to be an arcade game first and foremost
