How would you rank the Might and Magic games?
>>
I like Might and Magic IX even though its kind of crappy. The style of it really appeals to me.

That's the only one in the series I've played, might try VII at some point.

What they wearin bras for?
Your lower half's a SNAKE girl! And you got yo snussy out in the breeze.
Might as well air your nips out too while you're at it.
>>
Of the ones I've played
VI > VII > VIII > IX
>>
>>730840447
all uncslop tier
>>
>>730840619
when they molt the bra comes back. no point in taking it off every time.
>>
all trash when you're past 6
>>
>>730840514
I'm almost willing to give 9 a chance
>>

7 and 8 aren't that bad. They're great games that are much smaller and shorter in scale with some weird balence changes. My biggest problem with them is that most of their dungeons are fucking tiny and can be finished in 5 minutes. MM8 has the excuse of being really rushed but MM7 had a lot more breathing room in it's development. It's mostly 3DO's fault for forcing them to release a MM game every year. MM8 was originally suppose to be an expansion pak for MM7 but they forced them to turn it into a standalone game. That's why they pretty much play the same with even the exact same spells and spell system. I think the only reason they threw in the party swapping mechanic and races being tied to class mechanic is because they wanted to try and make 8 feel different compared to the others.
>>
>>730840447
6>7>8, those are the only ones I've played
7 actually improves on 6 in almost every way but it just doesn't feel the same for some reason.
>>
>>730841320
If you're on Windows version higher than XP it will be absolute bitch to run at all, let alone actually play.
>>
>>730840447
based bra battling rattlesnake heffers

woke won't like that one bit, time for a censored port.

>Improves in almost every way to 6
Except for the fact that dungeons are way worse and smaller. I'll admit that some dungeons in 6 are way too big or miserable but dungeon crawling is such an essential part of this series. It sucks because I would have been happy if they just made the few dungeons that we do have in MM7 and just made them a bit bigger, maybe even a lot more bigger.

The sprites and monster designs in these games is god tier. It's always a joy running into a new creature

Why didn't we get these and the moon guys in the HOMM series? Is the temple of the moon or sun even referenced in the homm games?
>>
Sure have been a lot of threads about this series lately.
I've been picking at 6 for the past year. Got one more memory crystal orb or whatever to grab but even getting far enough into hermit's isle to enter the dungeon has proven a difficult task.
>>
>>730840514
I would recommend you either start with 6 or 7.
>>
>>730840447
What if instead of blobber it was boober and fat tits just got shoved in your face a lot?
>>
bamp
>>
>>730843870
can it also be a blobber? a titty-navigating dungeon crawler?
>>
>>730844043
Sure
>>
>>730843814
You can take a ship there. It's at Castle Ironfist but it's the ship on the right instead of the one on the left that you usually use to go to the other ports. Just remember to run as soon as you get off the boat because it drops you off right near the dungeon but also there's a titan or two that will start shooting you as soon as you get off.
>>
Why doesn't this guy look anything like Archibald?
>>
>Junkie Hallucinations

you're bottom to the World Faggot
>>
>>730840447
1-3 is eh whatever, pretty dated
world of xeen(4+5) is decent, you could get a lot of hours with it
6-7-8 is a spectrum between freedom and balance in that order so it's subjective, i personally like 7 the best
9 is eh, unfinished, could be good but going back to list type inventory system removes a lot of soul, job advancement quests are also all over the place
10 is shit, nostalgia bait with severe lack of depth
>>
>>730844450
What the fuck is this post even trying to say?
>>
>>730842578
What the fuck are these guys?
>>
>>730840447
Of the ones I've tried, the only one I've really enjoyed so far is 3. I think I might would have liked 4 and 5 if I played them separately rather than combining them. I didn't care much for 6, 7, or 10.
>>
High.
>>
I've only played the 3D games. Are the other games worth playing?
>>
>>730840447
Damn those snake women are sexy

VI > WoX > VII > VIII > III > IX > II > I
If I played II and I around their release date I'd probably rate them over IX, they are not very fun to play these days.
IX gets negative bonus for being first 3d entry with obvious engine limitations, for being first entry after they blew up Enroth, and for being unfinished, but the gameplay is not too bad there.

I gave up on 2, it was a bit too clunky, here are my thoughts on the rest that I've played:
>3: Very open-world with lots of dungeons. Tends to favor traps and other annoying tricks and mechanics. Poorly balanced and a bit cheap, but fun to play through once.
>4: Wonderful classic fantasy with lots of paths and variety. Plays things a bit safe, but a fun experience all the way through.
>5: Neat world, with a somewhat too-linear map. Cooler than 4, but not as neatly put together. Features some of the best art and creature designs in the series.
>6: Huge world, often too overcrowded with monsters. All final dungeons and castles are massive and painful. The live-action actors are kind of neat. Very worth playing through once.
>7: Lots of party making options and different story routes open the game to multiple playthroughs more than others. Fun dungeons, not overfilled or too huge like in 6. Tech reveal isn't as cool as 6, but the final areas and endings are best in the series.
>8: My initial reception was ruined by the inability to make a party. With a mod that lets you do that, the game's almost as good as 7 and even cooler in some areas. Final area and dungeon are the worst in the series.
I recommend all of the games, but particularly 6, 7, 4, and 5. Any of those are good starting points.
>>
I've only played Dark Messiah. I liked it.
>>
MM6 is pure soul
Any way to play it in higher resolutions? I read something about using MM8 engine.
>>
>>730854965
8 > the rest
And it is not even close.
>>
>>730853806
What's so speical about Might and Magic 4 and 5?
>>
>>730854873
Are they even in the same setting?
>>
Any reason to play them in order, or should I just start with 4+5?
>>
>>730854965
https://grayface.github.io/mm/
You can play in a higher resolution with this patch
>>
>>730855213
I don't see why they wouldn't be.
