There's a grand nature that was introduced with BB and DS3, that has been honed and refined with Elden Ring and Elden Ring Nightreign that I couldn't do without again. Compare Nameless King, which is a fine track on its own - very minimalist, and a really cool harpsichord - but the difference between NK's theme and the Nightlords he's fought before, Fulghor and Heolstor, is quite apparent. I think Shoi Miyazawa and Tsukasa Saitoh, Elden Ring and Nightreign's primary composers, have hit a sweetspot that's been building since Dark Souls 3.

Godrick's theme has lots of sick drumming going on that you don't hear in Dark Souls music. Motoi Sakuraba is undoubtedly talented, that's why he's got hundreds of credits to this name. Also Yuka Kitamura also did not compose those tracks. But as I said, the music in Elden Ring and NR have reached this level of grandeur that would be missing if Motoi Sakuraba had been involved.
