The sports game industry has no incentive to improve. Most of them having licensing monopolies and ball and gunners will buy them every year without fail no matter how poor they are.

I have still to this day never played a football game as fun as Tecmo Super Bowl. It is amazing how the mechanics are still fun by today's standards. Literally the only thing better about newer games it the graphics, and I don't give a fuck about that.
