How do Fatal Fury diehards feel about City of the Wolves?

went from it being the game I was most excited about to kind of stopped caring after they announced soccer and DJ.

I'm used to it since same thing happened to me with the Samsho reboot when it took years for it to come to steam

because they only had a certain number of characters created for the base roster at the time of the release date. They simply didn't prioritize him since he's not popular and wouldn't disappoint anyone with his exclusion. Same with Freeman. You put all the essentials in the base roster and you add the missing characters later mixed in with characters people actually want.

Isn't Fatal Fury pretty varied anyway? I'm not an expert since it's hard learn older fighting games without friends to play with or mods but I've played a bit of Real Bout 2 and Mark of the Wolves and they're completely different games.
