What's with all the Arthurian mythology games lately?
>>
People finally tired of the viking and greek slop from the late 2010s.
>>
Oh no no no...
>>

Never even heard of this, what were they expecting?

Are there any games that tell the Arthur legend with all the knights and everything?
>>
>>730848883
Arthur, that has camelot and all the knights of the round table and all that jazz? Unironically, only fate extended lore.
>>
>>730849018
Bullshit. You're only saying that because that's the only one you know.
>>
>>730848759
They were expecting word of mouth.
>>
>>730849078

>>
>>730848136

But what started the trend? It would be one thing if there was some banger Arthur game that popped off like Dark Souls did and now everyone wants to copy it, but I haven't seen anything like that.
>>
>>730849280
I haven't played Raven 1, I won't understand the story

Apparently this is a Hungarian dev that has been making King Arthur games for the last 20 years so at least they're not just mindlessly following trends.
>>

To my knowledge those king arthur games are the only Total War clones on the market.
I can't tell if they're a slop factory or not. I hated stuff like Inquisitor Martyr and the expansion to Knight's Tale but I also really liked Knight's Tale.
>>
>>730853370
I feel like Total War games are pumped out at such an astounding rate that there's not much need for a Total War clone. They pretty much have the market fully saturated on their own.
>>
>>730848136
Idk man I'm tired of games looking like this.
>>
>What's with all the Arthurian mythology games lately?
Are you gonna post any? Because your shit has nothing really in common with them, tranny.
>>
>>730853880
The only thing those game have in common is 3rd person perspective.
>>
>>730853986
And being generic unreal engine garbage with zero imagination, personality or unique appeal. Slop for console niggers, basically.

Honestly if you're going for a realistic art style how can games plausibly look any different from this, all of them are going to have sweeping vistas no matter how differently they play from each other. You make the world too small and people complain that all the dungeons are a straight line. You give it a cartoonish art style and you filter people who don't want that. You make a 2D game and they call it a "pixelshit indie game." Realism and open world are common because they do in fact have the broadest appeal. And even then there are people who hate that too. Can't please everyone, but you can try and please the largest number of people.

Oh yeah yeah
