Why is the stealth genre nonexistent outside of mgs
It got absorbed into the muttoid ARPG genre, same with pure action games

By this point most people's exposure stealth has been as a tacked on, half baked system that they're forced to engage with at times in other genres. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for the genre. Even though the pure stealth games would be of much higher quality, I don't think they'd be popular due to this.

>>730848425Because they are too slow and require too much thought for the average ADHD normalfag these days. Something slow, like Pandora Tomorrow, would bore people and sell poorly. Something fast, like Conviction, might as well be Gears of War, but the enemies don't see you if you play it right. No need to bother with memorizing patrol routes or use gadgets when you can easily sprint behind enemies and instantly KO/kill them.So same answer for why things trend poorly: devs want normalfag money, and normalfags have shit taste.
