I like it well enough, you can have big ass battles with armies as per usual, and the factions theme and playstyle was translated well enough into the game. For Tau you want lots of little cities producing units who all benefit from layers of overwatch smacking a bitch to pieces as well as free drone units to take hits for your important units and hit things with markerlights to also make said important units hit harder. You still have flimsy ass units that fold under any kind of melee pressure and their best units still need support from heroes to get the best results, but I'd say it's basically how you'd expect Tau to play in a turn based strategy rendition of 40k. Same for all the other factions. Play IG if you like cheap disposable infantry with powerful tanks and a great end game. Play Space Marines to have the best heavy infantry with supportive vehicles but only 1 city. Or go Ork because you like to snowball from fighting which gives you more resources to get more Orks to keep fighting to get even more resources for even more powerful Ork units.
