The part that gets me is how they made hearing your characters thoughts a thing so it makes even less sense. I think it could've been salvaged if they just focused on one protagonist but I doubt David Cage is competent enough for even that.

I unironically really like Heavy Rain because I’m a fan of pulpy Eurotrash thrillers, and HR nails exactly what those films are like. If you stop trying to judge it as high art and instead judge it as B-movie thriller, it works a lot better.
