So the lonesome road mentions the tunnlers are slowly emerging and will slowly destroy new vegas but i dont think that is the case. So when you are in the cave of abaddon you fight a big group of tunnlers with a tunnler queen the only one you fight btw. Highly confusing story choice, Lonesome Road works just fine without them and they can be entirely removed with basically 0 impact on the story. The nukes and marked men are enough
