>>730862885There was supposed to be. The reason Tyrant is named Tyrant and why Wesker calls a big man that's hard to kill "the ultimate bio weapon" is that it's cut content. Tyrant was supposed to be the distributor of a virus that would infect combatants on the battlefield and put them as zombies under the direct control of the Tyrant unit, and so the enemy would be exponentially taken over and overwhelmed. So, the weapon takes a tyrannical rule over the entire battle. It's speculated that the "heart" outside its chest was the organ that creates that contagion.The one remnant of that design in addition to Wesker's stupid voice lines is that when you get the three codes to free your partner from prison, those codes are old testament bible quotes referencing the ideas of taking control of your enemy in battle.

Once again, "press shoot to dodge, press dodge to shoot, always confuse both". Pointless and destructive contextual controls for no reason.Rev2 on the other hand has the best controls in the entire franchise. It has a dedicated dodge move, and the controls are actually so responsive that the game doesn't need i-frames. Also, there is a grand total of 1 quicktime event in the campaign, it's not trivial to win, and you are indeed supposed to lose because that leads to the good ending.In addition, Rev2 canonizes original RE1 as the real official game because all of the times that they refer to voice lines from Raccoon city times, it's specifically referring to OG lines, not REmake lines.
