Surprisingly fun combat, though switching layout was clunky and poorly made.Story started off okay then quickly become utterly forgettable.They someone managed to fuck up the Ubisoft formula of spamming random shit all over the map. Not even sure how you can do that wrong, but they managed it.Basic 3d flight controls is something that was figured out like 20 years ago, they still managed to fuck it up.

The Sebastian storyline overshadowed the main plot, showing they were capable of making a good story. I assume Sebastian and companions were supposed to be more important to the plot. You had the town, but there was nothing just generic shops. You had the forest, but there were about 3-4 types of enemies. It wasn't bad, but it was hollow. Like most open world games, honestly. It focused on being big enough to feel authentic and ended up being big but empty. The last few areas of the map had literally nothing and at that point you were practically invincible, avadakedavraing trolls without issue. And that's just the gameplay itself, the story was flag, Hogwarts was filled with subhumans, it was, as another anon said, a gigantic wasted potential. The main point of Harry Potter is the dynamic between friends. Every companion in this game were insufferable with some disgusting jeet or ngugbu accent impossible to listen to without brain cancer. So, I was a little disappointed, because it had everything a good game would need, but ended up utilizing none of that.
