What is the best way to get friends you haven't spoken to in forever to play games with again? Chronic loneliness is really hitting me hard.
>>
You don't. You make new friends. Make buddies online. Your past friends have likely moved on to other things. Accept that they're gone and enjoy the new people you meet

I can't meet new people, people online these days are too antisocial. Feels like the only option is trying people I used to play with.

You want the comfort of the old. Its gone. Move on. There are social people out there in any game. You just have to have the balls to speak up and join them. The majority are going to be silent and lurk. If you want friends you have to put in the effort and be social yourself

You ask lol

I had a friend who wanted to play L4D2. Realized it'd be boring with the two of us, and sent some msgs to people I've not talked to in literal years.
One agreed, brought another friend over, and we started a 4 man campaign. That's it

what's the best way to reconnect with friends who you never really had beef with personally, but due to the other people around them your relationship to them was somewhat tense

Just hit 'em up with something casual and low-stakes, like recommending a game they used to like or asking if they’re still into [thing you bonded over]. People remember who was cool with them, even if the crew around you made things awkward. Distance from that drama helps – time clears reputations better than an apology ever could. Just don’t overthink it. Keep it light, like “yo, saw this and thought of you, still into this?” and let it flow.

Worst case they ignore you, best case you’ve got a co-op partner and someone to shoot the shit with again.

I hate people
