And yet somehow it was the perfect storm. Mix Minecraft with early YouTube hype and Hunger Games mania and you got peak 2012 internet. Log into any server back then and there'd be at least 3 Hunger Games lobbies full. Pre-sweats, pre-skins, all about the fishing rod and cobweb game. Simpler times, man.
