I see retards always comparing it to Dishonored, and Thief 4 wishes it had the scale, freedom and verticality of those games. It a halfway decent sixth gen stealth game if you take into account the kind of garbage that was dominating the industry at the time (mostly COD and brown shooters), but it's not Thief. Thief was about sprawling levels, mystery, tools, freedom of approach, etc. Dishonored at least has some of that pedigree. Thief 4 is just a bunch of tiny stealth arenas with no verticality. You can't even fucking jump.

I got about halfway through, lost any and all interest in the environment. Guard patrols became trivial to escape/avoid once you went through an area once or twice. No real worthwhile reasons to collect stuff. Stealth was super clunky which is shitty for a game literally called thief. Guards are complete dumbasses. Overall OP it's not worth your time unless youre some huge fan of the franchise but it's not nearly as good as its predecessors
