Both on sale

Left is for trannys, right is an actual game.

Fatshark does not deserve anyone's money.

Both games ultimately bore me, but Vermintide has a lot more to offer than Darktide, and I don’t just meant in sheer content. Something is just “off” with Darktide, there’s too many inherent flaws in its design. The samey rougelike level design, the shift to created characters, the lack of identity in classes (literally 2 of them have virtually no functional difference between them). It’s a game with a poor core philosophy and while it’s maybe got slightly better moment to moment gameplay than Vermintide, the whole thing feels hollow and makes it way too obvious how much of a Skinner box it is.

So Vermintide.

Darktide does a few things incredibly well, but mostly not.
VT2 is consistently very good.

Vermintide 2's just better all around and respects your time far more.

Do you like the Warhammer or 40K aesthetic more? Do you like guns or melee more? They are both *neat* worlds to fight through, cinematic and shit. I like the 40K ambience better.
