Will we ever get a new Clonk game?
Would be cool. Probably some indie dev already tried and fucked it up.

It's legitimately dead.As for your question, the people developing it eventually moved on to other projects or otherwise just stopped and nobody stepped up to take their place. Pretty common in the FOSS world. The devs apparently wanted to get the game on Steam once it was a little more complete, but that just never happened.
