Demos never stop coming out so I never stop playing them.
I tried Kejora, but it was just another parade of people who won't shut the fuck up and I go from character to character and they talk my ear off. get to the game. it's a demo. you don't have long before I get bored and move on. also turns out the main character is a girl. I might have realized sooner if I bothered to read the dialogue. but he seriously looks like a boy.
SideEye High had very ugly and atrocious characters, but it had good gameplay. Gameplay wins, I like good detective games more than I hate hideous americans. They weren't kidding when they said you can investigate everything. There's trash and candy wrappers all over the place that you can pick up and dust for fingerprints if you want to. cool owl.
statue pushing game. I'm sure if I cared I could find a better game about pushing statues. pushing statues isn't even a real game, it's a minigame you do in Resident Evil every so often. pass.
Little Squirrel cabin was, enh, I'm not really sure how to describe it. Solid maybe. Probably got better games to buy in the near future.
This was the best one I uncovered in this round, superb survival horror, very atmospheric. The opening is a beat for beat rip-off of Silent Hill, Car Crash, Foggy Town, Chase Someone Through Fog, Wake Up in Mysterious Diner. Except the person you chase into the fog is female Willy Wonka instead of your daughter for some reason. Puzzles are solid, game had a few glitches like a dog yanking me through a solid fence, there was a cute cat that runs around. Your healing method is listening to calming music on your walkman, a bit of a unique way. Survival Horror needed a new standard bearer for Silent Hill ripoffs ever since SSR wives fell apart.finding cool stuff like this is the best part of searching through demos.
Obviously intended to play with a keyboard but many times with demos I am too lazy to reach over and grab it so I just use my controller and see how far I can get. In this case the answer was: Not Very. Still you play as Nightcrawler and you have a tail. You might be a woman or maybe freaky mutants don't have genders. I'm not even sure I remember the difference between Mystique and Night Crawler. Whatever. Seemed alright.
might wait for this one to go cheaper still before I go for the full game. or maybe I should just pirate it.
Mad King's demo got an overhaul.
Sword Hero is getting a kickstarter, it's demo was decent, if limited. I might go for backing it.
this one not bad but not sure it'd be worth full price. wait and see. has cat girls. if servals count as cats. mouse girls too. those ones are uglier. no one wants mouse girls.
okay enough demos for today, I think. I'm kind of tired. I'll go have a bath or something.
Thanks for these threads anon. I usually take part in the next fest but I appreciate you posting these reviews. Please include titles in all of your posts or screenshots in the future. This one was great >>730907235
>>730908114oh I did forget the name of the best one. it was called ivayami
>>730905364I liked the demo of ugomeku note. Simple rhythm combat gameplay in this jrpg. I brute forced everything since I couldn't read Japanese. I had fun, the game looks comfy
>>730908114Thousands of demos in next fest. many people find it difficult to make any headway with the amount of demos to play. I don't find it so bad since I play many of them in advance. The only ones I have to worry about is the ones that don't release until the day of the festival. Still a sizeable number, but manageable.
