>>730919081It's only a chore because there aren't as many recipe aliases (like in Minecraft) but you need both an ore and a fabric to craft tools. When the crafting interface was first revealed, I assumed that you would be able to select a weapon type and then choose what materials to make it out of (like in Tinker's Construct), but now that the actual recipes are revealed, it's more like Terraria (in a bad way) since every item type is unique and made of resources from the same tier rather than a generic item that can have variants to it. I hope they add support for custom item NBT data so that you can have weapons which use parts from different materials.

From old players or people already familiar with the game is interesting to add the extra level of depth, for anyone new you just get bogged down wondering if you are doing the right thing.I don't hate the idea of different materials and having unique weapons based around that but it should be a lategame thing were you are already familiar with the game mechanics, not really trown in the face of new players.I'm glad they are taking inspiration from other games outside minecraft, just because is a blocky game it doens't need to do everything minecraft and their mods done. Plenty of other ideas and things to try out there that could work out well also.
