Why was CotDG kinda ignored while everyone praised Hades?

Beats me. One of the greatest mysteries of the ages, really.

Hades was easier, flashier, and was roll slop in top down form.
CotDG was slower, stylistically uglier, and FAR more brutal.
It's not shocking people flocked to Hades but the ones who like a more challenging game frequently find CotDG to be a better time sink. Hades is a synergy focused dash-fest with eye candy. CotDG can viably be beaten no matter what RNG kicks out but you better fucking believe you got to work at it a lot more on good RNG than Hades on good RNG.
