The first time I was really aware of the Kraft/Nabisco merger was how the Nabisco Brands logo disappeared on the back of Nabisco stuff and replaced with Kraft Foods, and seeing that Easy Cheese didn't have the Nabisco logo anymore.

It's been a straight downhill drive ever since.
>(((Irene Rosenblum))) takes over company
>buys Cadbury UK and outsources a lot of their production
>splits company in two
>Kraft Foods Group, the spin-off, merges with Heinz
>the "old" Kraft, now Mondelez International, outsources most of the Nabisco plants (now Oreos are made in Mexico and it shows)
>Kraft Heinz is breaking up but will fuck up Kool-Aid and Jello with natural colors
>the "natural" alternative to Red 40 is literally crushed insects
It's all so tiresome.

There's never been a food merger that actually improved a product since the 40s or 50s. It's just endless greed. Like McDoanlds refusing to pay Heinz more money for supplying the ketchup so Maccas goes and buys up tons of land just to farm tomatoes just to make their own inhouse ketchup that just ends up tasting worse than Heinz. I think even soft drinks like A&W or Dr Pepper are owned by some obscure German company, and it's always some German company that has ties to the Nazis.

I wonder just how rancid our food supply is going to be a decade from now. we haven't seen the worst of it yet

>obscure German company
Keurig is an American company, but the company is literally just a coffee company that got big. Dr Pepper's corporate history is
>independent
>merged with 7-Up in an investor-led conglomerate to stave off bankruptcy of both companies
>bought by Cadbury-Schweppes
>spun off in the 2000s
>merged with Keurig Green Mountain, where Keurig calls the shots but the surviving company is Dr Pepper Snapple Group for legal reasons (stock), exact same way the "real" Atari Corporation (Jaguar era) became JTS Corporation and made hard drives. A&W also got taken into Cadbury-Schweppes at some point.
