We've had an entire generation whose main consumption of videogames have been streamers/ youtubers who scream and piss themselves at the slightest inconvenience of any game.

If the gameplay is shit even on easy then I won't bother with higher difficulties. For example Avowed and Darktide are fun just on the base level of smacking a mob and becomes exhilirating on hardest difficulties. FF14 is not even fun in low levels and sucks even more the higher you go.
