The side quests can be very fetch-questy, but they're easy to do in batches and you can safely ignore them when you feel comfortable in your power level.It can also look very silly when it tries to be serious, due to Eve being a turbobimbo.
I didn't like Nier Automata. I thought it was unfun and didn't care for the story. I liked Stellar Blade though. I thought it was more fun to play.

I was kinda forcing myself to play through until about halfway into Eidos 7, when I actually had a few options. But the game only got actually fun after reaching Xion and getting the gun drone.

The game is flawed in that it makes you play through recycled assets to get to the additional content in the third act, which is a small part of the game. So you essentially have to "play through it twice" in order to "beat it" once. Fucking horrible game design.
at least for me stellar blade is an 8/10 game. It's ok, doesn't do anything excepionally great but neither does it exceptionally bad. fun gameplay, ok story good music and nothing more. 8/1
