Playing the 2005 steam port of RE4 and I'm at 3-2, getting tired of searching all over the place for items and the game only lets me use handguns because it refuses to drop other ammo types.
Should I just quit playing at this point? How much better does the game get?

If you have no pistol, they drop little to no ammo for it.
I did an entire run just with the TMP and Bolt Action.
