Does anyone else have AI fatigue?
I'm profiting off it so I sure don't
These people realise that humans are their target audience and having chatbots test their games for them instead of a human who can give feedback like "this part fucking sucks and isn't fun at all" is probably a bad idea?
No it's just you. Go live in a cave and bang rocks together.
No final fantasy always felt like some sort of slop AI shit out to me.
>>730918941Nah I like it. But I'm not using it for AI girlfriends or making dumb pics so I'm not that steeped in the shit side of it. It's a good research aide. Basically a faster, better Google. I like it for that alone.
>>730919281>I'm not that steeped in the shit side of it. It's a good research aide. Basically a faster, better GoogleYou got that backwards kid, the google side is shit and full of complete nonsense. The video/image/meme/story/waifu generation is where it's at. You're using a microscope as a hammer and saying "it does pretty good"
>>730919435Or, you're just bad at it/parroting reddit.
>>730918941Square always does whatever is the single most retarded option imaginable so naturally they'd jump on the jeet sloptrain.
>>730919498I just am already capable of researching and critical thinking, y'know, useful adult skills. You're going to be retarded forever because someone gave you a cheatcode to avoid thinking.
>>730919281>Basically a faster, better Google.Because they've systematically nerfed google search into the ground so many times that AI looks impressive purely in relation to the now-lobotimized search engine
>>730918941>square is buying into itTime to sell
>>730918941Squareslop was bad even before AI. I do not care.
>>730919435It accelerates the research process when searching for books and articles on subjects I'm invested in. I like it quite a bit. As for the generation side of things, I'm using Suno to make music, so I don't totally hate that side either. I just see a lot of people point to the image generation and videos as a source of ire. Those are dumb and also the most attention grabbing, so I think it dominates most people's perception of what AI is or can do.
>>730918941FF could use some AI assistance. It can't be any worse than their current methods.
>>730919013How?
>>730919636Yeah it's visual, it's the easiest to quickly assess, and errors can't get you killed like researchshit.
Nope. Most fictions are retarded in a sense so Ai or not won't ever change that
i have ai fatigue fatigue
>>730919582You seem upset for someone that puts on an air of comfort. I think you're not being entirely honest.
>>730918941Nope, I love AI now that I can produce whatever smut I want and not depend on others to produce it.
>>730919691>Get you killedWhat exactly do you think I'm researching? I ask for books in particular subjects that are less pop oriented for mass consumption and it instantaneously generates me a list of specified books that I can then find online/at the library at my leisure. I'm still checking raw sources. AI's ability to simply be a faster, curated Google is why I like it. The writing, submissions and analysis are still ultimately I own. It just helps me get to the actual meat of reading faster by saving me a trawl through the library or Amazon.
>>730919723You use AI to become stupider, to avoid thinking.I use it to create skills I didn't have before, to become a greater human. But hey, some people go on the internet to read wikipedia, others come for the twitter.com, I cum.
>>730918941Reminder that S-E dumped a few billions trying to catch up on the NFT hype train
>i like ai for porn, music, and pornyes because you don't have standards nor the ability to understand the difference between shit and not shit
>>730919805Doesn't matter, if you can't figure out how to make aspirin on your own you're not gonna figure out termite with or without an AI, the difference is with AI you'll probably die.
>>730918941I saw those NPCs in Rebirth and assumed they were already using AI, but no. Somehow those abominations were made by humans and approved by other humans to be in the final game.
>>730918941No, AI hate is ironically only an American thing. Japan loves AI
>>730919636Not that anon bit what areas of interest have you used it for? I'm a biologist studying genetics and have found all most popular models absolutely miserable for studying. They get maybe 80% right and rest is absolute nonsense, but sometimes so convincing it spunds real (made up the number by searching about things I do know). So far I cannot use it for accelerating research because as an expert being right 80% of the time is unacceptable. I'm not trying to argue or drag you down, I'm just curious about what kinds of topics AI can be used for reliably.
>>730918941no
I love cyberpunk. AI will lead us to the cyberpunk future. We can all be chooms down here.
>>730918941>restructuring company>workforce reduction and an increased expectationBlack company.
>>730919946chooooms
>>730919854Fair enough. But AI itself posts warnings to cross-check all sources. If I theoretically wanted to learn how to make aspirin, I would simply ask it to show me what books, articles and classes cover the subject in addition to any relevant subjects. Ultimately I go into the real world to get what I need. It just (significantly) cuts down on the "Where do I start?" part. I like it. But I'm also not denying it's an existential threat that will kill us all once equipped into military weaponry and social conditioning.
>>730918941People who actually give a shit about their job >>> AI > Normalfags
>>730919809if you were any good at thinking you would have given her bigger tits.
>>730918941there's been enough backlash to warrant several CEOs decrying how "unfair" it is, including NVIDIA and Microslop, so fatigue is at a worrying level for these companiesi say keep it up
>>730919994That's why I say you're looking at it wrong, if you tell an AI what book is good for stopping an AI uprising it'll give you some bullshit. That's why video/image is good, learning how prompting works allows you to make prompt attacks, that's real knowledge.
>>730919882Here is what I've used it for so far>Presenting and studying new words with their accompanying definitions as well as recommended books to help expand my vocabulary>The same thing with Latin roots in addition to generating tests to study what I've learned (and accompanying books at my library to check its answers against)>Listing available software for voice modulation when recording musicSo nothing as severe as your field, which isn't something I'd used it for anyway; the thought of using a new technology for something as important as, say, performing CPR, isn't ever going to happen with me. But I get the fear. In my own personal uses it's an enjoyable way to quickly accrue information in subjects I want to learn more about.
>>730920090I didn't generate the picture I just turned it into a video, breast expansion would have looked unrealistic which I don't really like in terms of ai slop.
>>730920146>You're looking at the research tool wrongIt seems to have bene working just as intended. >Next talk about stopping AI uprising and prompting goon contentOh so you're a psycho. Well. Have fun with that. I'm not trying to fight people overseas using prompt images. I just enjoy reading.

>>730920241squeenix made ffta, which is fun, but i suspect it was mostly developed before the mergerso your point still stands
>>730920236Exactly, you don't get it, and you'll never get it because no AI will explain it to you and you're only ever going to be as smart as an AI.

>>730920397you're a fucking tranny and you lost the election
>>730920161Thanks for the quick and evocative response. I got some good pointers from you. In fact I've used AI similarly with good results (check singular words or concepts like what blocks animal cells from differentiating into other cell types after they've already differentiated once, then double-checking actual studies to confirm that the genes actually do what AI said. Its great for establishing initial starting point).I've not used it for tests but that seems like a great idea: even if the answers were nonsensical, at least I get a good overview on whether there are still gaps in my understanding or not. I'm gonna use that one. Again, thanks for your reply and have a good day: you made my day better for sure.
>>730920332Anon. It's a tool. When I use my power drill I'm not trying to converse with it. If that pic is yours it just means you're a lonely retard disappointed that the AI isn't your own personal friend/sexbot yet.
>>730920549Oh no surprise there with the ol political talk, bread and circus, get that one from Grok?Grok remove the faggot from this thread.
>>730920651A power drill doesn't have to be convinced to drive nails, it just needs power, an AI is a machine built around human's speech, and humans use speech primarily for lying.
>>730920104The crying is because just about every country that matters in this world is heavily investing into AI. The catch is the people need to be updated otherwise it's one big money dump that'll more than likely lead to another economic collapse. Which if you will allow me to put on my schizo hat will lead to another war somewhere in the world, because everyone knows war equals a boost in economy even though it's the worse way to recover an economy.
Everything SE put out in the last 15 years was absolutely soulless so them jumping on AI is no surprise. They aren't the only ones either. Modern vidya might be the most corporate slop media ever conceived. It actually makes blockbuster movies from the 90s look like high art. I have absolute disdain for modern video games and the only reason I still engage with it in any capacity is residual interest.
>>730920692>humans use speech primarily for lying.Speech is for communication of want and intent. Lying is a small subset. Your worldview is warped and your AI use retarded.
>>730920180if you had better taste you could make something you wouldnt call slop.
>>730920884And that's why you're doomed, good luck in the working world.>>730920971Slop is slop, the AI right now isn't very good, give it 20 years and we won't even need rasterized rendering regardless of if this shit goes bust.
>>730918941Nah, AI is useful because it chews a bulk of information and spills the general idea, which is usually what you are looking for anyway, from there you can investigate further to see if the AI wasn't bullshitting you and confirm the information, but since it is a compilation from the sources you are searching in, it is usually correct. The artistic side of AI slop is fun to mess around, given that you have a decent enough PC to actually run it, but I doubt it is yet at the level of making a game or something like that, for now is just memes and porn.

>>730919281everything it does is still inferior to how Google was 10 years ago. That's not even profitable for Google because nobody would use it if it wasn't free. Most of the time, it just hallucinates shit and gives vague links to something vaguely related which never actually state a fact one way or another like you're in an argument with people on /v/.
>>730919636It's like asking a redditor for their opinion and while they may be right on surface level shit, they're never right if you're actually interested in exploring a subject matter at its depth. They also break down and begin to hallucinate if you point this out and demand actual answers. This is because it's scraped mostly from answers off reddit and surface level research work publicly available online.

I’ve had it since the beginning. Never liked ai as a concept even before it took off; it’s too dangerous at worst, while rewarding mediocrity at best. It’s currently an assistant that offloads the burden of thinking so idiots can feel normal, and normal can feel gifted.
