DeS, Dark Souls, and DSII are their own trilogy. These games were when modern From Software were willing to be strange and whimsical. From Bloodborne to now, they settled into a streamlined Soulsbornekiroring experience, which has netted them lods emone. So yes, one should play Dark Souls 2 if they enjoy video games.
