No one ever used negative interactions because there was no actual reason to. The perk system was too generalized to fulfil the friction of relationships. It was a trait system, a love system, a perk system and mood variable all at the same time and it resulted in every interaction being the same. The few perks it had that changed things enough were few and far between. Genius, creative, virtuoso and klepto were OP as hell. Having a raw bonus to leveling skills made me feel like I had to choose between practical and creative. Also being able to choose your kids stats was cool on paper but it just means everyone I make has the same or similar things. While everything else is perfect, the static and boring relationship part was the biggest flaw. Sims 2 has better dynamics. Also better animation weirdly.
