Might have to rethink my workout routine. I was consistent with my exercise schedule last year but barely made any progress or changes to my body. Morrowind. I'm thinking of either making a Thief working for the guild or a Paladin for the Nine Divines. My Wizard has accomplished his goal of getting to Narsis and completing the new content there.
I also played the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC for Arkham City for the first time. I heard it was a bit of a rip off at the time as the campaign is only about an hour long, but since this came with a £2 GOTY version I rather liked it. Playing as Robin was cool.

I genuinely think I need to start looking for a wife seriously. I'm at the point where I can't even bother to do anything because I'm just so burnt out and having a friend to talk to on a regular basis would actually keep the constant isolation I'm facing (plus, sex which is something I want too). The problem is I don't know where to start looking and I'm not really in the position to start looking like that being in a doctoral program for robotics.

I was invited to a social function/BBQ last week, I went there and had a pic related moment, at some point I just removed myself from the place without saying anything and haven't talked to anyone who went there this week. it is korean and it is a thriller. hong kong action films generally don't have amazing plots and art just about wacky set pieces. oldboy is artful cinema that will stay with you for a long time. really good film, don't expect schlock.

Yeah, best way to make sure you grab every free game you can is by going on SteamDB (I think?) but I usually just go on the Steam store and go to the search bar and normally free games will pop up

Pretty okay. I accidentally got myself into a university project led by my professor and lecturer. The local town wants a digitalised historical map of their town, and I am currently mapping and making an Excel sheet about one of the town's parts. The map provided by the town is shit, and it's fucking annoying. There are 5-9 buildings whose addresses don't match the ones marked on the map, and the map is super simplified. Some of the buildings are shown to be one building, when in reality, they are two completely different buildings. Even Google Maps is doing a better job.

Catching pokemon is fun; exploring the city is fun initially and kind of simmers down, but you do find rare pokemon throughout at times; the battle system is different but still very familiar; characters are fine, and the designs are good across the board, and there's a ton of new mega evolutions. Some are kind of ugly, though(Excadrill). YMMV, but if you like Pokemon generally speaking and aren't autistic about having every damn pokemon in existence, it'll probably be a good time for you. I like it quite a lot. I just elect to play it little by little. Also, get the Switch 2 version.

Strangers of Paradise. Shit is so much fun, man. The job leveling is oddly addicting and there's something neat about wanting to learn a new move or combo. I really like the combat system. Feels like an evolution to the depth of the Souls formula.
Zone of the Enders 2. At max settings this game is gorgeous and frantic. I can see why people regard this game as the best mecha game ever.

Pretty good. I started my first real career job this week as a software engineer and it's been going great so far. I'm working on a cool project, I get along with all my coworkers so far, and what they're asking me to do doesn't seem like it will be more than manageable. The only off thing that's happened so far is the cubicle they gave me still had a bunch of stuff that belonged to the guy who "doesn't work here anymore" which I found strange he didn't clear it out first. Then yesterday I overheard 2 of my coworkers talking about an incident where a member of the team went insane and killed himself. They think he started doing narcotics because he was acting really weird, got nothing done, and at one point "demanded a promotion and said there would be consequences if he did not get one". After that he stopped showing up to work and then found out he killed himself. I don't know if it's the same guy but I think there's a non-zero chance I'm working in the haunted cubicle of a guy who went insane from narcotics then killed himself.

The big difference here compared to other cave games is that the whole game is really vicious pretty much from stage 1 and there's a lot of really creative and hot blooded boss patterns. The routing and scoring system is also really fast and loose, there's really never a moment where I feel safe and I have to constantly play aggressively and make room to stream pre-emptively. Even during basic tap dodging sections it makes sure to maliciously spray some bullets at you, it never really turns "off". However, like every other cave game you have a lot of resources, between bombs and lives I've got like 20+ do-overs, compared to rayforce which I cleared last where you really only have room for 1 screw up before stage 7, so I'm not too worried. Just going to take my time and be humble.
Opus Magnum-
This is a strange one. It's a puzzle game with open ended solutions and leaderboards. Every puzzle can pretty much be brute forced suboptimally, but you want to make elaborate machines to complete them in the least amount of cycles and beat your friends. It's interesting, but it also kind of highlights the issue with puzzles and games, and the lack of replayability there. It's not as fun as like competing for the best times in Neon White or something, because the optimal solution is obviously buried in there, but at least cycle optimisation is surprisingly elaborate and clever.

Still relatively early, just made it past the mission where you first meet Astos.
So far, of what i have unlocked, Lances and Axes are probably my favorites. There's something really great about delivering a fully charged attack with either. Also just unlocked the Dragoon job so yeah, shit's fun.
That said, i'm surprised at how fun playing mage is. The spells feel like they complement the systems really well and feel dynamic enough to still be fun. Also the flails are mad fun too.
That said, Marks man is probably my least favorite job. It's just so boring that you have to attack from afar and the close range attacks feel like shit. Maybe i'm just playing it wrong.

yeah i could never get it either, but i've seen people post video of doing some really nutty things with it, especially when combined with swapping jobs and chaining skills.

Yeah. The modern dating pool is just horrid. You really do have to be careful what woman you want to make a part of your life AND carry your kids and all that jazz. It's a big decision. You really have to understand most people are pretty fucking dumb. They can be put in a bad situation by their own doing like being with a woman who they don't love just for some sex (when prostitutes already exist but I digress), leave said situation and find themselves in the exact same situation over and over again. It's why you have to filter which people are important in your life either out of necessity (such as a job, school or some other important function) or actual desire/meaningful connections and be willing to cut people off when they do shit that signals that they will screw you over either on purpose or by accident.

It's sometimes lonely, but being with people you don't like and have to act some performative gay, ostentatious, complex social dance with all the time (and not get paid for it) is annoying and even lonelier. I rather just chill at home and have fun by myself or with people I actually like and like me back.

A bit isolated. Was going to help move in some furniture yesterday but mom told me to hide in my room so that the delivery guys(who were overly bitchy according to her) would do it. Also it's really annoying that I can only sprint forward in doom the dark ages and that there is no double jump. Also I LOVE THE IMP STALKERS but I hate the those hunter demons with the energy shields, bone shield, and homing skulls can suck a dick. The Marauders were more fun to fight compared to those dick weeds.

I'm sorry. I actually was playing the second game. That's been out since November, though. I'm still getting a feel for it and doing missions here and there, but it feels pretty nice to play. People complain about the price, but the game itself is pretty cool. Overworld is a bit dull, but outfitting your character is fun. There's different weapon types, and you can learn new abilities with the materials you collect. I'm trying out deflecting attacks with a shield now. Honestly, it's quite alright. I didn't dive much into the original game. I just bought it at some point at a discount.

I found the doom black book to be a really good read, though I don't have a full appreciation of the sections where it deep dives into the specific development hardware, the architectural concepts are top notch.
