I only played the first Styx and it was incredibly average compared to both Splinter Cell & Thief & Manhunt. Was the sequel any better?

The sequel was miles ahead of the 1st game, yeah. Gameplaywise at least. The writing had a more comedic tone, which not everyone liked apparently, but I didn't mind it.

Gameplay is all I care about in this genre. If it's that much better then the first one (which was just a series of linear areas with not much room for improv) then I'll check it out sometime.
