why should i care that new games are shit when there's a backlog of thousands of titles that have not been made by indians and are actually fun to play
>>730937771We are going to find the secret of eternal life or the ability to upload our consciousness permanently to the internet which means we are going to live to some degree forever. No matter how many good things exist, one day you finish them all.
>>730937771I hate this soulless graphics style that every game uses nowadays.Take a minute and really look at that picture, every object in the game has just a solid color for a texture.Even 20 years ago graphics were better than this, even 30 years ago lol.
>>730937771never been a better time for hardware prices to shit the bed, really. i havent played a triple ayy game in years.
>>730937889What do you mean by this? This level has a specific look compared to others in the same game.
>>730937862but that's a copy of yourself, not yourself experiencing that.
>download a complete ROM set>pick a game>play it>repeatI haven't bought or played a new game in over a decade.
>>730937771Because I already played those games.
I just play older stuff. In fact, I've never even played a game from the "HD" era onward. Gaming in 16:9 just feels wrong to me.
>>730937771Zommie here, missed out on all the good shit, i've been playing games that came out prior to 2008 for the last like 4 years and I haven't looked back (beyond a few new releases). Finished turok 2 and finishing hard corps uprising now
>>730943343zoomie* before i get third worlder accusations
>>730937771That's fine if you play games by yourself like a hermit. But for a lot of people gaming is a social thing. FOMO is huge and you want to discuss things with your friends or online buddies and have that sense of community. If you played big AAA 2025 game in 2030, nobody will care. Also many popular games now have some online/multiplayer aspect so that's another time sensitive reason. Servers will die, popularity will drop. You don't want to miss outAnd lastly, newer games are supposed to break new boundaries. They don't anymore really, but that's how it used to be. Why would you want to play a SNES looking game for the 800th time when something new is dangling in front of you?>but I personally don't care about people and I like playing SNES games onlyOkay, but not everyone is you.
