Probably because it was the most unnecessary sequel of all time. I enjoyed the first game enough, definitely my least favorite Kojima game, but it had some neat stuff going on and some interesting characters. I really wasn't asking for another one though, I don't think anyone else was either. Kinda reminds me of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom where its the same fucking map and all they really did to the game was slap on a few new mechanics and shat out some new cutscenes. Dev time and budget would have been better spent getting OD done faster. Also it not releasing on PC simultaneously was a huge mistake.
