I'm so fucking angry it's unreal. I sincerely want to smash my keyboard into my monitor, it's the only way to curb this rage but I just bashed the shit out of my TV the other day because of this fuckass medication and I don't need to be replacing monitors as well. It's fucking unbelievable. Just operate in some sane level of reality you fuckass game. A TV doesn't need to constantly forget that it's connected to your PC on HDMI2. A detective game doesn't need to constantly drop hints about reading a fucking magazine while denying you any attempt to look at it.

I don't know if that's better than being a lifeless zombie or not. Anyway, forget anything bad I said about Roottrees. It seems a good game.
I really enjoyed the two Golden Idol games (Rise of and Case of)and would recommend them to anyone that I've been looking at Casebook 1899 and Mysteries of the Malign but neither are on sale enough to actually justify getting them this run.

I bought and finished Confidential Killings. It's a Golden Idol clone that's easier, more grounded in reality, and as a result, nowhere near as interesting.Some really bizarre design choices, too. Unlike Golden Idol, you have to click the keywords yourself, which wouldn't be a problem, except some of the keywords appear multiple times, but you can only click one specific instance of it. So you'll see a magazine cover with the victim's name, and it'll let you click the surname, but not the first name. The first name you have to get from some other, often unrelated piece of evidence.

Couple hours into the operator, unless the game pulls some kinda tweeest at the end it's shaping up to be a pretty generic plot that's also somewhat reminiscence of Another Code..Gameplay is similar to hypnospace outlaw but less varied and more rigid in progression.

Anyone play The Crimson Diamond? I am a big fan of adventure games and am even willing to give the time of day to shit like The Dagger of Amon-Ra just for the vibes - but while this looks pretty similar to The Colonel's Bequest I'm worried it's riddled with zoomer talk or is poorly designed. Not like half the shit I play is well designed, but at least I don't have to spend fifteen bucks on adventure games from the 90s.

It was fine, but I personally thought I was getting a mansion puzzle game like Mystwood Mansion, Botany Manor, The Room games, Escape Academy, etc. I didn't know it was going to have a faggy stamina mechanic, nor did I realize there was a fuckton of RNG involved.

I bought Pathologic 2. It feels like I'm fighting against food and water more than I'm solving the mystery.
Played Seance recently. Cool setting and art style. I think some of the conclusions were a bit weird though. Bought Case of the Golden Idol and Strange Horticulture but I haven't started them yet.
