I cannot believe that this game has genuine passion compared to the rest of them. Sure, the gameplay sucks, but the worldbuilding, the writing, thefit music fits more than the reused MKII songs ad infinitum; are genuinely good and even far superior to any other games in the series. It made the fucking characters more than just basic stereotypes; the first fucking game managed to do more with Blanc and Noire without needing some forced shit like their sisters for sympathy points. Hell, Vert has an actual personality in this game, if you ever believe that.If this game had serviceable gameplay at best, then it would have been a good title akin to tales of symphonia.Instead, it spawned sequels that are either mediocre at best or just the bottom of the barrel trash. The only good game in the series was VII, and that game felt more like a sequel to the first game than MKII, Compile finally found what made the series so popular in the first place and then returned to shit in the next.

HDN has the best writing but I think Mk2 and V were pretty good all around. They've been asset flips since the beginning but I don't think it really became embarrassing slop until the Vita games.

Every single CH/IF video game was complete trash up until Neptunia MKII which was serviceable at best.Neptunia never saw its peak culimation genre game: Dating Sim/Visual Novel.
