So basically when you're in the police station you hear exactly what the OG RE2's music was playing at that time, and the music changes depending on the rooms and every location like the OG etc. The remake's soundtrack feels very very washed out and almost silent in comparison. It's garbage and unironically soulless.

I'm playing this now and I like it but why the fuck zombies take like 6-8 headshots. I'm playing with adaptive difficulty off mod, I thought it will take 3 shots at most.

If you're on console the only way to turn off Adaptive Difficulty is to play in Hardcore mode, which sets the enemy parameters at a certain threshold without the option of going up or down. It's a terrible mechanic and I wanna know if RE3 Remake has it.

>>731020483I've played through the remake on all four scenarios, including hard mode. I have played the original to death on every platform imaginable. The first version of RE2 I ever owned was the N64 port. There are a few things the remake does better. But overall, I am still questioning the altered map design of the RPD police station. In many ways I think the original layout is overall better. I really was not a fan with the way the lobby was set up in the remake. There was way too much of an over use of Mr. X in both scenarios. The fact that they pulled the scene from the Original RE2 where Mr. X punched out the camera (it happens way later in the original when you get on the 'tram') into the introduction for the remake was a bit dumb. I didn't like how the heliotrope crash was reduced to a simple off screen explosion. While in the original they went through the trouble of creating an entire 30fps pre-rendered FMV cut scene. Honestly it is easy to post-phone Mr. X in the remake if you don't cross the invisible barrier line past the STARS office or pick up the battery on Wesker's desk. I could write a large list of things I didn't like. But I still enjoyed the remake for what it was. It will never replace the original RE2 for me.
