KSSU is the objectively better game of the two, but there's a certain magic to the early 3d visuals and dream-like mood of 64's worlds that was never reproduced in later entries. Its a really special game. Also it's music is fucking banger after banger.Honorable mentions go to the og Kirby's Adventure for the awesome 2a03 chiptune sountrack and GC's Air Ride for being a ton of fun with friends.

So are we getting any games this year? I'm hoping for a Triple Deluxe + Robobot HD double pack or a cool spin off like a Kirby RPG. I don't see us getting "Forgotten Land 2" until next year due to the NS2 Edition.
>>731032774Yes. Best implementation of collectibles, best boss lineup, top-tier OST within the series, the theming of each level stands out extremely well, and I love the Hub town. The only way it's weaker than prior games is the ability lineup but the abilities that are there are implemented so well into 3D space that I don't even mind. It's easily my favorite rendition of some of the classic abilities; I never really cared for Needle before FL but it's one of the most fun to use now. The Mouthful Modes are also a solid enough gimmick that don't overpower the levels they're in and have more variety to them than Ultra Abilities or Hypernova (Robobot Armor getting its own Abilities is unmatched though).>>731033037DL2, DL3 & 64 are a trilogy that shared a director who's basically gone after 64. >>731032774Yes. For reference, in 2022 it got second place at the /v/idya Gaem Awards for "Least Hated Game" behind Elden Ring. The Switch 2 Edition just makes it a better game on top of that, 60FPS + higher resolution and enemies not animating at 15FPS when far away on top of ~1/3 of the base game's worth of content added make it a fantastic game. I just wish the game+upgrade bought together wasn't eighty fucking bucks.
