I'm trying to make a graph.
Any suggestions

Technically all of these are sandboxes and you can do whatever you want. It's more about where the game tends to push you

As I said in the OP
> Technically all of these are sandboxes and you can do whatever you want. It's more about where the game tends to push you

you can make computers on factorio and terraria.
The difference is factorio pushes you towards that.

Factorio has the most restrictive mechanics of any
of these games. You can create an automated factory and that's absolutely it. You can build way more stuff in VS than in Factorio.

It also doesn't belong on the survival/exploration axis at all. It's neither a survival nor an exploration game.

I didn't have a good way of naming Surival/Exploration.
It's basically how much the game pushes you to grow by exploring vs how much the game pushes you to grow by doing things close to your base.

Progression in Terraria is effectively locked behind exploration. You are immediately pushed to get in the caves and find stuff.
Progression in Factorio is all about "the factory must grow". Sure there are materials all around the map but the game is all about automating.
In Vintage Story you progress by doing menial tasks mostly by finding materials around your base. Moving far away from the base is heavily discouraged as on death you respawn in a random location. You are also extremely weak, your inventory isn't too much either.
Hytale so far heavily encourages you get out of the starting area and find items by raiding monster camps. I personally had to make multiple outposts in the various zones.
Minecraft is in the middle because you can pretty much reach endgame regardless of how you choose to approach it.

Factorio is an idle game
Vintage story is a meme
Minecraft never matured past an engine
Hytale looks like shit and is overmarketed as shit
Terraria is the only thing that managed to be a game

just confirmed you played the game wrong, or even worse you oversaturated your manufacturing and didnt bring in more resources to account for increased production. Kill yourself terrarianigger

Alright there, also you can make a functional computer in factorio that literally uses 1 factory to make any item in the game automatically.
>>
>vintage story
>restrictive
Why are all of you retarded hytale shills so fucking pissy over vs anyway? Not being able to play a game with a built-in guide is pure skill issue.
>>

It should be on a scale from how vertical/ horizontal it forces you to progress

Faxtorio is vertical because you don't have to go too far from your base very often, and when you do it's to make shit that leads back.

Minecraft lost the plot in beta 1.7 with the additions of villages, forever ruining the direction vanilla took. Exploration and rpg mechanics in survival is boring and antithetical to the fun of the game, which is getting the best tools and equipment available to actually facilitate being able to build shit you want without just cheating it in creative
>>
What is the point of Minecraft?
>>

>no terraria clone where you can industrialize stuff
oxygen not included does not count because it's a colony simulator
