What was the last version with decent terrain generation? The current version is full of retarded looking gaping caves, even underwater for some reason.

It's 60k^3, so, 30k in either direction. You can reach that in a day of walking. It's still extremely limited compared to Minecraft's millions and Minetest's (sorry!) developers only just now, after 8 years, have began to understand why anyone would want larger worlds.

It's interesting that the developers for an open-source Minecraft clone didn't keep up with Minecraft itself, to the point they thought larger worlds weren't possible (or at least didn't know it is a selling point for Minecraft to the point that the effort in developing the feature is worth it). Maybe it's just an open-source hipster thing, though many open-source clones have ambition.
