Lola is like the cartoon equivalent to vidya franchises like Sonic, Star Fox, and Animal Crossing in that they started out as a "furry boys club" but then they introduced a female character that took the spotlight and it massively pissed off the gays. The amount of seething that Lola gets despite being a core Looney Tunes character for longer than most zoomies have been alive really just shows that when people complain about "furfags" there's one component of that label that's more to blame than the other.
