LMAO !
That's what literally everyone does. It's not anything worth bragging about, and the alternative at least presents a different experience from the usual.
>>731026010Half the problem with the "intended" path is it is boring. Not easy, boring. It's a very long walk through some of the most uninteresting terrain in the game, and you're very badly redirected to Primm and Nipton. It's basically>finish Goodsprings>go south>deal with Primm, which doesn't actually give you any information on the main quest at all, you could easily skip Primm and keep going south>go to the west and hit a dead end, or go east and blah blah blah a furry crucifies people>okay NOW you can go north towards VegasIt's just a whole lot of nothing.
>route which makes you walk through a Deathclaw nest is more favorable than the one where Cazedors appearreally says something about society
Benefits of reaching vegas at level 1?
new vegas is a novelty game. play it once and you’ll never need to replay it again
>>731027174>really says something about societyNot ours, no. We would never take that path, at least not until some bumfuck tryharder decides to do it himself. First thing you would hear is that is not "economically feasible".
>>731025795the game ends when you reach vegas so might aswell take the long way
>>731027453schoolgirl
>>731025795Not much of a benefit going straight to New Vegas at lv1 or 2. Plus you'll eventually have to go through the intended route so might as well get that over with
>>731025795>reddit filename>every day some fallout moron just takes whatever pictures are trending on his social media feed/server and makes a thread for them allwhy is this allowed? its just blatant spamming to shit up the board. its like im literally in the general chat of a fallout discord or some subreddit
>>731026010I always use intended route because I'm planning to everything I can each time I play it and I don't want to be overleveled for early locations
>>731026913Yeah... for replays it's fucked because I either roleplay and get immersed so I go the long boring way 'round or I rush to New Vegas but my mindset's then set on speedrunning bullshit.
>>731027280Job opportunities for getting rich sooner. Although I would consider at the very least traveling to the Mojave outpost and talk to Cassidy to unlock the Crimson Caravan jobs
Why no one talks about the secret passage in Hidden Valley to Novac? I played the game without fast travel once and I used that mountain pass all the time
>>731030418Not OP/didn't read but>tranime
>>731030751not playing with an alt start mod not my fault you are retarded
>>731031112Is that the one with the scorpions? I remember stumbling on a route that had a bunch of those fuckers and wondering why it was never brought up as an alternate semi-shortcut.
>>731031112Isn't there like a scripted deathclaw one shot there? I remember that really pissing me off
>>731031240Yeah, there's a scripted scorpion ambush in there, but it's not that hard. Technically you can also follow the rails from Nipton to the north too. Fast travel really kills the fallout experience, I still installed a caravan fast travel mod which connects most settlements >>731031254The scripted deathclaw is close to Black Mountain I think. If you somehow manage to evade the existent deathclaws, that one will spawn behind your back
>>731027280>Go to atomic wrangler>Win caps>Buy naughty nightmare to win harder>Max out on caps>Unlock strip>Go to dr. usafucki and get the int implant for another .5 points per level up and luck implant>Go back to strip>See and kill Benny>Get a million level ups>Max out on caps from casinos>Buy what you want from gun runners>Enter dlc of choosingThere's probably a more autistic way but that's my path if I want to replay a dlc asap at a reasonable level and not be completely gearless
>>731030418tranime
i dont need to get to new vegas i'd rather go get some skill books
>>731031724go back
>>731030418>tranime
I won't play again until we get a unified beta content restoration. Much of its minor, but much of it is really cool or changes balance better. A big change is that initially Benny was in the 2nd level of the tops sitting in a chair lounging surrounded by bodyguards. I can see why this was changed: 1. Play testers couldn't find benny. 2. If you fight him, the fight is too hard. The final game seems to have cut the bodyguards in half. I like that original idea better, since Benny is better defended, and it makes it more difficult on the player to enact his revenge.
>>731031576I have about 200 hours in NV but havent really replayed it much. How does killing Benny get you so many level ups? And why not just run up to Mccarran monorail to get into the strip faster?
>>731032151>How does killing Benny get you so many level ups?The game is set up so that getting to the strip and meeting benny is a mid-game quest, so it rewards you as if it's a mid-game quest. But if you rush to the strip and do it first, then suddenly you're getting massive amounts of levels. Maria is also a "free" and very good weapon at this point too. So you have your "starter" weapon, a lot of xp, and now you're loaded with caps. All because you sequence broke the game.
