the worst part is parkour went and completely died for those three games until mirage made it relevant again. amusingly, shadows of all fucking games brought back climbing spots on buildings so you can't just glide up anymore wherever you want.

I think Odyssey should have been the next one big on sailing, but they barely did anything with Adrestia. There's like two-three critical missions that use the ship and everything else is just you island hopping or doing generated missions.

2 is peak, Brotherhood is very fun but started whole tailing mission thingie, Revelations is brotherhood with slight gameplay upgrade but overall worse plot and missions.
III is ok I guess. Black Flag is kino if you have assassin fatuige because it's pirate game with assassin's creed mechanics and some assassin plotline slapped at the end.
Didn't play unity but heard it's fun gameplay with dogshit plot.
AC1 I can't recomend, while core gameplay is fun and started the series it have so many mechanics dragging game down, there are overall 11 unique missions that are fun, everything else is repetive slog, AC2 took huge step to make it better. If AC1 took more time to refine it's "cutscenes" and made something other than "do same 6 quests to unlock unique assassination mission over and over again" it would be better than 2 because writting is superior.
Origins, odyssey, valhalla are typical open world rpg that screams "we want Witcher 3 audience", Origins>odyssey, Valhalla is boring and too big. Mirage is Valhalla DLC that tried to be like AC1 but failed.
