>games wouldn't take 10 years to make if they looked like this again
>it's considered unacceptable by everyone
My hobby got ruined by normalfags and there's nothing I can do about it

It's funny, the graphical difference between GTA III and San Andreas is not much, but as a result they were able to push mechanics massively.
>>
I'm surprised indies don't try making gta-clones in this style. It can't be that hard.

I still hold onto the hope that MAYBE, just MAYBE, they will actually go back to making games look like this in the future. Eventually they will get priced out of making ever-advancing games, so then the only answer is to either give up and leave or go back to using shit hardware that people still express a love for and making games for that.
It gets harder and harder to hold this hope because I thought Nintendo would do it first and theyve just gotten worse and worse ever since I had the thought, but call me retarded because Im still holding out

They both look more like fattened up PS1 games than PS2 games, by far the most primitive-looking big releases on that console. But people readily ate the visual difference between this and that up if that meant a compelling gameplay experience. Nowadays people will balk if you give them a PS5 game with no gaytracing.

Hell it doesn't even look like that on the PS2, even if it has the color filter
>textures are higher-res
>reflections look like actual reflections instead of cel shading
>draw distance is too far

Those graphics with modern physics engines. I don't need to see the depth in the wood grain of a random crate. Just combine GTA, Minecraft, and Morrowind and make a fun game.

It is massive, GTA III is low poly and have very simple shaders in comparison. Now compared to VC, it really isn't much different.

fucking slop i tell ya

I have it already lol. Still doesn't satisfy my need to bury dead hookers. I wanna fuck em, kill em, drive their limp corpse out to the woods, would be cool to be able to fuck em again but I'm not greedy, dig a hole with a shovel, kick her cum filled cold meat in, and cover it up. I don't think that's asking too much.

You want a timeless looking and fun quality game?

Nah.
>>
>>731040482
Yeah, we need more 64 and 128 bit games.

>>731040482
Nu devs suck so much they’ll still take 5 years

VC > SA

agreed. i would be ok if games had shittier graphics if it meant we had more games. i honestly wouldnt have a problem if new games look like morrowind.
