Is the Samsung 3d monitor worth it as a secondary for $600?
no body plays enough games here to care.

Never used any 3D monitor but can tell you I'm turned off by that image using apparent AI slop instead of real graphics

Theres about 40 games that support the 3D, with my personal favs being Khazan and Stellar Blade. 3rd person games work really well in 3D. I also tried Ghostrunner which is first person and that one made me feel kinda motion sick after a while. Theres apparently also some feature where it can turn 2D videos into 3D using AI but I havent tried it yet.For $600 I would definitely go for it

>>731044683Played in 3d back in ps3 era when every TV had 3d mode. It's a stupid gimmick that you will use for a few hours and drop it because how dumb it is. Better get a VR headset atleast that is immersive 3d, but will also go the way of 3d tvs it seems.
I used a Playstation 3D as my monitor for a few years and only fucked around with the 3D mode a few times. It was cool but ultimately a gimmick. It's probably cooler now that you don't need glasses, but from what I saw game support is still just as limited as it was back in like 2011.
600 is alot better than $2k. 600 for a 4k monitor with 165hz doesn't seem outlandish

>>731048482Yeah from a user standpoint it produces the same kind of effect as the 3DS. Obviously way higher quality though. There's even hotkeys for adjusting the depth of the 3D effect so you can tune it how you want per game.>>731050182I meant 40 games that support it officially, yeah I'm aware of the mods people have made to convert other games the same way, I just havent tried em myself. I have heard that online multiplayer games can detect a lot of the mods that are out there and will ban you if they find out you're using them, it would probably give you an unfair advantage.
>>731044683No man, you can get a 4k led monitor for that much. The only "secondary" monitor you need is a shitty 1080p on a swivel so it can go vertical. The 3D effect is just eye strain, it doesn't even look good.
No, you're an idiot to buy a 3d monitor just get a vr headset instead for 500.
